Welcome to the West Virginia Live Research Project — WVLRP. We’re glad you’re here. This page keeps everything from your member introduction in one place whenever you need it.
You never have to pay, donate, or buy a membership to watch WVLRP’s public live cameras. The goal is to provide a real window into West Virginia wildlife, the property, chickens, outdoor projects, and life on the land for everyone.
Creating a free WVLRP account opens the interactive side of the project. Camera chat is member-only so conversations can stay manageable, respectful, and connected to real accounts.
The Member Inbox lets you find other members and exchange private messages. Conversations include timestamps and unread counts. Blocking controls are available if you do not want another member contacting you.
My Notes is your private WVLRP field notebook for sightings, camera observations, project ideas, and anything you want to remember. Notes remain separated by signed-in member on the device where they are written.
The Latest Visitors archive preserves special wildlife appearances captured around WVLRP. Members can help notice, discuss, and document what comes through.
Keep your eyes open. Hidden details, special events, contests, and other surprises can appear throughout the website and camera pages. Some things are meant to be discovered instead of announced.
The WVLRP Gift Shop brings together handmade crafts, seeds and seedlings, original art, special finds, and optional ways to support the project.
Free membership and public viewing never depend on donating. Optional gifts and supporter tiers help cover camera equipment, internet relay service, hosting, maintenance, wildlife feed, and future growth.
Eligible supporters can enter the private Supporter Lounge with four camera positions in one place and a supporter chat for cameras, nature, music, projects, photos, stories, polls, and respectful off-topic conversation.
Select supporter tiers may receive Pan-Tilt-Zoom access on compatible cameras, allowing eligible supporters to remotely explore the view. PTZ access is tier-specific, availability-dependent, and remains under administrator control.
Businesses, organizations, families, and individuals can support a particular camera or WVLRP as a whole. The Sponsor Honor Wall recognizes the people helping keep public access free.
WVLRP is more than a camera feed. It follows wildlife, chickens, the land, education, experiments, outdoor work, new cameras, new features, projects, and a growing community built around watching real life unfold.
Respect the wildlife and the people watching with you. Do not use public chat or private messages to harass other members. Use member blocking when needed. WVLRP is a place to explore, watch, learn, share, and belong—not a paywall around nature.
